We had another banner turnout for air rifle practice again this week at the Back Creek Valley Bow and Gun Club. Keith and Dickie worked with the kids honing the prone position and a good time was had by all.

Here are a few photos from the December 2nd practice at the Back Creek Valley Bow and Gun Club. We practiced on the indoor range due to the fact that we had a wood stove inside to keep us warm from the winter chill. Brian helped the kids on foundation skills, such as stance, grip, and anchor point.

Photos from November 18th Rifle Practice
We had a great turnout for this week’s practice. In addition to 12 regulars in attendance, we welcomed a new member, our 3rd this month!
Keith and Bonnie worked with the kids on prone and kneeling positions as well as fitted the new slings and showed them how to use the new gloves. Alan did a fantastic presentation on sight alignment and was a great class for new and experienced shooters alike.

Here are a few photos from the November 4th practice at the Back Creek Valley Bow and Gun Club. We had a banner turn-out with 11 members in attendance.
Due to the waning daylight, we elected to practice on the indoor range. Brian and Dickie started the kids out by working with the kids on basic archery skills. The kids were having a such a good time with archery that we ran out of time for rifle practice.
Many thanks to Keith Knotts who supplied some nice gear bags as prizes for the kids.

Photos From August 12th Practice
Here are a few photos from the August 12th practice at the Back Creek Valley Bow and Gun Club. Due to the late afternoon rain, the kids started with a bit of rifle practice on the indoor range while we waited for the archery range to dry out a bit. Alan, Bonnie, Keith, Dickie, and Kevin worked with the kids on refinning the prone position. Later, Kevin, Dickie, and Brian worked with the kids on archery skills.

Summer is upon us! Here are a few photos from the July 1st practice at the Back Creek Valley Bow and Gun Club. The kids started with a bit of rifle practice on the indoor range before moving outdoors to the rifle range. Alan and Bonnie led the rifle portion of the practice, primarily using the slings. Kevin, Dickie, and Brian worked with the kids on archery skills. Using a few dollar bills as incentives, the kids tried their best to pop some ballons… when the bugs weren’t biting, that is.
